Watch my rear end, not hers!
It's a fast paced world we live in. We all have a lot to do, and not enough time to do it. Sometimes, it's easiest to do two things at once. However, doing any of the following while driving are just asking for trouble (as well as being illegal):
Dialing a cell phone- Most safety experts don't even want to see people talking on a cell phone while driving. But if you are dialing, you are looking away from the road.
Putting on Makeup or Shaving (face or legs)- This might seem pretty obvious, but it happens all of the time. Most people are too embarrassed to tell their insurance agent that's why they rear-ended someone.
Eating, drinking, or smoking- These three might not seem so obvious. After all, most people do it all the time. But we get lots of claims that start off with, "I dropped my... and then I looked down..."
Reading a book or a map- Reading a book or a newspaper while driving has got to be one of the most bone-headed moves of all time. But you see it all the time on the beltway. If you need to read a map, pull over, figure out where you are, and then drive on.
After reading these suggestions, you probably think this page was a waste of time. After all, all of these things are common sense! Then why do we keep paying claims for them?
